Interview with University magazine on research initiative in Astrophysics
In the new issue of the Potsdam University magazine PORTAL WISSEN
I describe our recent research initiative and the master program
Astrophysics. Check it out at

Martin Sparre and Gabor Worseck joined our group
Two experienced postdoctoral researchers, both coming from Heidelberg,
have joined our group.
Martin Sparre is an expert on comoslogical simulations using Illustris.
He works on joint postoctoral position with the AIP/Christoph Pfrommer.
Gabor Worseck is a senior researcher and expert on He reionzation and
the intergalactic medium. He works as research associate in our group,
jointly funded by DLR and the UP. We are very happy to strengthen our
research team with two such excellent researchers!
"Roaming Baryons" Conference held in Sexten
The conference on "There Whereabouts of the Roaming Baryons" took
place in mid-July at the Sexten Center for Astrophysics, Italy.
Many good talks and fruitful discussions!
HVC survey paper being accepted for publication in A&A
Our HST/COS legacy survey on the Milky Way's circumgalactic medium
and gas in the Local Group finally has been acccepted for publication
in A&A. A four-year (!) effort finally has come to a successful end!
See publication page to download the most recent preprint of the paper.
